This bourgeois bistro with its amazing 1940s bar and large wine cellar is certainly stashed away! Take a pop at classic bistro specials like oeuf en meurette, sweetbread and foie gras pâté en croute and wild Burgundy snails for starters, then move on to mains like Angus skirt steak tartare, matured rib steak (by request) or crispy pork with buttered cabbage and a Port sauce. More choice? How about the roast freerange poultry with parsley oyster mushrooms and Vin Jaune sauce, or roast milk-fed lamb with Paimpol beans? The indulgence continues with salt butter caramel rice pudding with hazelnuts, crème brûlée and chocolate mousse. And for the wines, some lovely pours at affordable prices.
